Am I responsible for delinquent HOA fee of the seller after closing on a piece fo property. The lawyer who worked the closing and the HOA were late in transferring an estopple letter and the correct amount of the seller HOA fees were not included in the closing documents, The HOA now wants me to pay these fees. Is this legal?

It's legal for the HOA to want you to pay these fees, you own the property. You may have recourse against the lawyer as well as the seller and the title company that was responsible for drafting your closing documents. Your question makes an excellent point of why buyers need to have an attorney BEFORE they close on a real estate transaction. It would have been cheaper than it will be now.
