Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
rights involving a quick claim deed
My boyfriend and his wife had a home with a VA loan using her VA. He signed a quick claim deed when he devorced with the understanding that she had a buyer. It's been three years. We're now trying to buy a home and found out that she never sold it, but is renting it and has moved the morgage to another company with his name still on the loan.
is this legal?

A lawsuit must be brought in Florida either to compel a sale or reform the mortgage. I suggest you obtain a Florida attorney since this will affect you forever if you do nothing. Good luck.
