Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Roommates changing plans
I hate two roommates that are engaged to each other, and just recently informed me that they were going to move out by July 1st. I just found out that now they aren't b/c they don't have enough money yet. I already arranged to have a new roommate move in, and they are just saying, oh well, they can't move in now. Our lease expired a while ago and we are now renting month-to-month. And I offered to reimburse her the deposit money that she put up, even though it wasn't a ''loan'', but won't have the total amount until August. They are becoming more and more untolerable and I just want them OUT. Is there anything I can do, or am I just stuck there until they decide to move and at their mercy?

Re: Roommates changing plans
You could go to the landlord and get a new lease with you and the new people signing. That way the landlord gets to have the others removed. But remember that your stuff is vulnerable. If you're in a complex; move to another apartment with the new people and leave the others to deal with the landlord.
