Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
satisfaction of lien
I had a mortgage that was sold to another lender. I continued to make the payments to the newly assigned lender. Since that time I have refinanced my home. I have a satisfaction of lein from the lender whom the loan was sold to. On the document it states both lenders. My question is this; the orignal lender is claiming that I missed several payments to them before the loan was transfered. They sent me a letter stating their intensions to forclose on my property. I am currently financed with a new lender. Can they do this to me if a have a satisfaction of lein from them?

Would prefer to see the documents before giving you a reply. Chances are the answer is no. You seek a consultation with competent counsel.
