Satisfaction of Mortgage

I need to file a satisfaction of mortgage for my parents the mortgage was in both names but since then my father passed away. What is the proper way to file it should I just have my mother sign the satisfaction and then file my father's death certificate or is there a special form I need to use.

Assuming no estate personal representative has been appointed by the court for your father, your way should sufice.
