Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Sell of home contract
Ok we are wanting to see if a contract we have between us and a investor is valid. The contract states that upon completion of our new house, the buyer will pay us a certain amount of money. This was signed by my wife and I and the buyer. How binding is this? Is he required to pay not matter what? We want to be sure of this before beginning new building. The contract was noterized.

Re: Sell of home contract
Without reading the contract, no lawyer can tell you what the parties' rights and obligations may be and whether the contract may be cancelled, and, if so, how such cancellation can take place. The terms and conditions of the contract need to be reviewed. Generally, the parties are obligated to perform under whatever written agreement is signed, although there may be escape provisions that allow one or all parties to cancel or terminate the contract based on the occurrence or non-occurrence of certain events. Good luck.
Re: Sell of home contract
The information you supplied is insufficient. I would have to review your written contract.
Re: Sell of home contract
Without reading the contract, I would be remiss advising you or anyone else as to enforcability of the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement.
