Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I have just been served papers saying that a lawsuit has been filed against me and i have 20 days to respond. it's my deasced mothers property being foreclosed upon.It says i am joined because i may claim some interest in or lien upon the property. I have no interest nor care what happens to it. My name is not on her morgage, nor are my siblings who have also been or will be served. what do i do? do i respond?

If you have no interest and they are not claiming any money damages against you personally, no.

Although if you have no personal interest or liability to your Mother's property, then your failure to file an Answer will not legally negatively effect you, the better solution is to file a response that simply says that you waive any interest you might have in the property and any need for the Bank to continue to serve you or contact you and then the Bank can move foward with the foreclosure without further bothering you.You can do this with a simple hand written letter to the Court and copy it to the Attorney for the Bank.
