Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Sibling rights after father's death

My father died intestate. He and mother's name was on the property deed. to have and to hold in fee simple forever. There was no will.

Since his passing mother changed the deed into her name only.

Do my two sisters and I have any rights to 1/2 of this property?

Ther are two parcels of property. Forty acres homesteaded with a home (mother lives in) and a separate five acres.

If so what steps should be taken?

You should be claiming 1/2.

If the deed provided no right of survivorship you do have a valid claim to your intestate share. Consult with counsel.
