Just signed lease

Long story short, live in florida, signed lease based on what was told by sales agent, was told signing for stage 2 third floor, now being told they can put me where they want to, any way to cancel a lease (within a certain time frame?) any help appreciated

You might be successful in a suit to avoid the lease, if it got that far. An attorney letter might do the trick. But we would have to read the contract to know more.

A lease is a valid and binding agreement between the parties. There is no right to cancel within any time frame. Florida just enacted a new law which places a two month (additional) penalty on anyone who breaches a lease.

You should have the lease reviewed by an attorney who can try to see if there is any way to cancel it. Alternatively, the attorney might be able to negotiate a release from the landlord for a reasonable sum.
