Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
We signed a lease with a Property Management company 2 years ago in August. We received a letter a few months ago from another Property management group saying that the previous one had divided, and we now pay rent to another company. We never signed a new lease with the new company. Is there a legal loop hole to get out of this lease, as now the two companies are fighting for who should receive the rent, and we receive letters from both sides lawyers regularly.
My husband is transferring with his job, and we are looking to buy. And it just so happens all this is going on with our rental.

If the landlord has been acquired by another company that does not eliminate the lease or give you a way out.
It would be difficult to say without looking at your lease, but the letter from the new company does not change your obligations under the lease or allow you to get out of it. Regards,
