Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

out of state sale of property

I live in OH and own a vacant lot in FL. If I find a buyer, do I have to go to FL to make the sale or can notarized docs sent UPS work with me staying in OH? Thank you!

You are not required to come to Florida. "Mail-away" closings are common. I suggest you rely on a lawyer or title company to prepare the closing documents and to make sure the deed is properly recorded, along with the correct amount of documentary stamp tax.
