status of property owner in the US

I am a British citizen, non-resident of the US.

I own 4 properties in Florida, one of which is a family home purchased 6 years ago, during which time I have visited Florida to look after and maintain these properties.

What would be my status as a property owner if I wanted to live in the US?

You would be a property owner. The mere fact that you own property does not give you any special rights other than to pay taxes.
