Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Is there a statute of limitation on property tax and common charges? My Aunt is suing me, claiming my father had not paid her for his half of the property tax or the common charges of a condo they share in florida. she is suing for the 10 years 1997 to 2007

Your aunt is suing you? If you don't own the property, and you have not signed a guarantee or surety letter that obligates you to pay your father's bills, then you don't owe her money. If you inherited 1/2 of the condo, (because your father died, and they owned this as tenants in common), then she may be able to sue his estate for money that he owed for taxes and maintenance, but only if she asked for the money and he refused to pay. If she paid because the payment of your father's share was a "gift" to him, then she can't take it back. Your question does not present enough facts to make a determination of the law.
