Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Stopping home sale contract

I went into an agreement to sell my home, contingent to my getting mortage aproval for my new home purchase. I could not get approval for mortage that I can afford and told realtor 10 hours after deadline date. Buyer wants to sue or force me to sell anyway, what can I do?

Re: Stopping home sale contract

To provide you with a proper reply would require a review of the contract.

Re: Stopping home sale contract

Hopefully you confirmed in writing what you "told" the realtor and you provided a copy of the letter from the lender advising that you failed to qualify for financing. If the contract has a financing contingency you have a solid argument to get your money back.
