Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I had a student loan 8 yrs ago with a private university I didn't pay... They took me to court and it ended on a final judgment against me... I recently tried to refinance my home but couldn't because it.... I've been under the impression creditors couldn't take your primary home here in the state of Florida... Is that not the case?? Should i be concerned about losing my home?

A judgment is a lien against all your property if properly recorded. If you have a homestead property and you properly assert that position, it wont be subject to force sale for the judgment. for specifics related to your rights, you need to seek an attorney advice with all the documents.
