Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I submitted an offer on behalf of a buyer for a medical condo. He recently fired his previous broker (verbally engaged) who had already submitted an offer on the same property on his behalf, but did not complete the transaction. Is the fired broker entitled to any part of the commission if the buyer purchases this medical condo?
