Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
tenant came into apartment with no permission
My landlord entered my apartment with no permission today.
My lease is coming up and I am supposed to be moving into another apartment of theirs in a few days and on Monday they wanted to show it and let me know in advance and I okay'd it but this morning they called me at 11:00 because ''they were wondering if we could show the apartment today.'' and I figured, okay, if I don't call they aren't allowed to enter. Sure enough. They did. And they saw my dog which they were not aware of that I had. I am wondering what I can do about this. I really do not want to do anything unless they bring up me having a dog, which they would not have found out about had they called in advance. They gave me two hours between the time they called and the time they entered my place. Even though I am moving out in a few days, I am still here and feel somewhat violated of my privacy. What can I do?
I am not sure if there are any witnesses but my roommate who was at work heard about me talking about this.
