Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
A tenant of mine accepted a Sears delivery of a fridge after I specifically told the tenant to refuse delivery. (I had made other arrangements for a new fridge and was going to cancel the order.) Now Sears refuses to credit the $75 non refundable delivery charge. Can i require the tenant to pay this fee, since i had told them not to accept the fridge?

Your tenant is not your agent, and it was wrong for you to expect your renter to do battle with a Sears delivery guy. If you didn't want the fridge delivered, you should have informed Sears NOT your tenant.
