Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Tenant Rights

I am currently renting a house where the landlord has not made the repairs listed in the lease that we have. I have made several attempts to have him repair and comply with the lease but he has not done his part. I recently sent a certified letter stating the I would be terminating the lease in 7 days in accordance with Section 83.56 (1), Florida Statute.

If he does not comply with the lease, do I have to leave the premesis on the day the lease is terminated or since I already gave last months rent can I stay till the end of the month and still leave without penalty and be able to regain my security deposit?

Re: Tenant Rights

Since you gave 7 days notice you must stick by it or you have waived your rights.
