Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

do tenants have legal rights!! This is America , Im sure I do!!

well basicly I moved in with a mutual friend of mine. But the issue comes in when she feels that she can tell me when to clean the bathroom. But we made and agreement that I would rent a room & also a bathroom because she has two so she's renting one to me. OK that's fine!! But I would assume that me renting these rooms are mine & whatever I do in them is my business. But she messes up the bathroom, throws her demands around for what she wants me to do in ''my'' room!! Eats my food but yet her husband can bath in my bathroom & ''I'' have to clean it because it is ''my'' bathroom!! And she acts like she's doing me a favor because she's giving me a room to stay in!! But yet I'm paying her money every month to stay there and I don't ask anyone for anything!!What shall I do!! Because I know that I have rights!!

If a court had to hear this they would throw you both out for wasting their time. You clean your mess up and they clean theirs up - this is kindergarden stuff. If you cannot agree then look at your lease and see exactly what part of the proprety you have exclusive use to. If it was oral and you don't like the way things are working out then make arrangements with your landlord to leave.
