Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Tenant's responsibility to show a house to possible buyers.

I signed a one-year lease to rent a home on February 7. On March 25, I was informed that the owner of the house was putting the home on the market, and that we would be required to show it with 24 hours notice. Due to my family situation, this presents a significant inconvenience. I proposed giving 60 days notice to vacate the property, but the owner is insistent on holding me to the full term of the lease. What are my options, and what legal obligations do I have to make the home available to the landlord? Also, the owner mentioned that a separate real estate agent would be given a key to the property if we could not be contacted. This seems a clear violation of Tenant Law to me. Thank you for your help.

The following is for informational purposes only and does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Unless the lease forbids it, change the lock and advise the landlord in writing that you will allow access to your leased premises within a reasonable time upon reasonable notice. Good luck.
