Termination of selling agreement

My husband and I decided to terminate our selling agreement one week after it was signed with the broker. He agrees and gave us a paper showing that our property was take out from mls listings. What kind of form or cancellation we need to finish the contract properly? . He said that everything is ok but we dont feel conficence about that. Thanks.

Get a letter identifying the contract (parties, date, etc.), signed by the broker, that confirms that the agreement has been terminated, is of no force and effect, and that both parties release one another from any responsibility under the terminated agreement. If you get this, you should be fine.
