Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

What is the time line for an eviction?

I will most likely be evicted very soon. I have not received and paperwork saying that, however I have violated my lease by getting a dog over 20lbs. Since I will not get rid of the dog the landlord (who is in Alaska) said he will call me tomorrow and let me know when I have to be out by. What is involved here? Will I have to be out in 72 hours or how long do I ave to find another place. Help!

You do not have to move out until served with a court ordered eviction judgment signed by a judge. You would first have to be served with a notice of a court proceeding for eviction. The court process can take a few weeks. Of course, you can avoid this by voluntarily moving out.
