Timeshare

have been hospitalized in psychiatric hospital for major depression for 5 years-mostly inpatient. Released for short time-went to Florida.While there,purchased timeshare, became ill in FLorida-forced to leave for re-admission to hospital.With all meds and months of ECT-was not even aware of purchase.Are such purchases legal under circumstances. Still under dr's care for same-trying to find meds to work. May need more ECT. If aware of purchase-would have cancelled-But did not remember purchase.

You would need medical proof to claim you were mentally incapable of forming a contract. Mental incapacity makes the contract voidable. The fact that you later forgot about signing a contract would not affect this issue and you would still be responsible.
