Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Trashy Neighbors

i tried to sell my home last year but everyone that came to see the house asked ''whats up with your neighbors is that why your moving?''. that was not the reason at all. i'm told by realators that i will never get what my house is worth as long as my neighbors continue to keep such a trashy yard. i contacted the county last april.the county sent them a letter instructing them to clean it up,but it looks like all they did was move things around. can i sue my neighbors for devaluating my property,or can i sue the county for not following up on the clean up?

Re: Trashy Neighbors

Of course you can always try to have a civil conversation with your neighbor and perhaps even offer to help them clean up their despicable yard and maybe even pay for a part of the clean up. Or perhaps not. You can meet with the person in charge at the county to see whether he/she will take the bull by the horns and deal seriously with the matter. If the property is located in Miami-Dade County, I can effectively assist you in your dealings with county government. If not, seek the advice of a lawyer in the county where the property is located.
