Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Type of Ownership

Hello My husband and I purchased a home prior to our marriage, and refinanced the mortgage after we were married. At that time, there was a quitclaim deed recorded.

The deed states....

This indenture, on...., by and between wife, F/K/A maiden name, and male name, her husband of county.....collectively reffered to as seller, address.

wife name and husband name, her husband of the county .......collectively referred to as ''buyer''.

My question is.....is the wording of this quitclaim deed transforming the ownership into a ''tenancy by the entirities'' , because I believe when we purchased the house unmarried we were joint tenants....Please help me understand what type of ownership this latest deed conveys.

Thank you.

Re: Type of Ownership

Appears you own it as husband and wife, tenants by the entirety.
