Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Vacation Home renter injury by accident - owner repsonsible?

A renter at my FL vacation home slipped in the bathroom causing injury that has required MRIs, Xrays, loss of work, therapy, etc. As the owner, am I liable for her medical bills? The signed rental agreement states that the renter assumes all liability fot accidents and injury. Should I respond to her request for my insurance company's name? What are my next steps?

Do not send your insurance information to the tenant. The tenant signed an agreement that they would be responsible for accident or injury so refer the tenant to that contract. Assuming you were not negligent in any way in that you were to repair the tile floor and failed to do so. If this was solely the fault of the tenant in that they stepped out of the shower and they failed to be cautious then they are responsible for their own injuries and costs associated with them.
