Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Vandalism

Last weekend my car was broken into and my stereo equimptment was stolen along with some other items. I was at a bowling alley parking lot. My friends tell me that I should get a lawyer and try to sue the bowling alley. I am wondering if I would have a case if I did this? And if so what would my reason for sueing? If I do have a case would would my first step be? Thanks for your time.

Re: Vandalism

You may conceivably have a negligent security case against the bowling alley, but even if so, the bowling alley would direct the court's attention to the third party criminal assailants who stole your stereo and caused (at least in part) the property damage. If your auto insurance carrier is covering the property damage and theft, and the money damages are not that high, you might not be able to find a lawyer that would be interested in the case.
