water damage
I rent an apartment and a water line under the dish washer broke and flooded the whole downstairs I cslled the prop mgr immediately and he waited 2 days to send someone out after 5 days they still did not tell property owners so I called them and they sent someone out to take up carpet and put 6 large fans to dry. this happened and th 2nd of the month we were month to month at the end of our lease. do I have the write to recoop this months rent they wnat us to stay untill the end of month our stuff is under plasstic outside we are on cncrete floors

You may be able to withhold rent if your landlord fails to do what the law or lease requires. You must however, announce your intentions in writing by mail, preferably certified, at least seven days before the rent is due to allow time for the landlord to remedy the problem.
If the problem is not corrected within the seven days and you withhold the rent, the landlord may take you to court to collect it. Under these circumstances, you must pay the rent into the court registry, pending the judge's determination in the case.
