Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
no will left
My father passed on several years ago leaving no last will. He had land paid off and I'am wondering who has the right to it being no one was named. My sister and I want to get it put in our name for our children. If it helps any our mother is still living and wants us to have it and do what we want with it.
Thank you for your time and help

Re: no will left
It would depend upon whose name was listed as the owner of the land. If he owned it jointly with your mother, she now owns it and can convey it to you by deed. If he had title alone an estate
representative will have to be appointed to convey the title. Good luck.
