Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Florida
Hostile Envirnoment
I report to a man who makes many sexual jokes. I
have reported it. I was up for a huge promotion
but was passed over. I feel I am being frowned
on for reporting the sexual harassment and find it
difficult to work. He is often rude and indignant to
me know. I am thinking of filing suit as I have lots
of documentation and know for a fact several
other high ranking female ''managers'' in my
company have complainted. I have no idea what I
want out of the suit except that he had no right to
pass me over for the promotion. I am the most
suitable candidate (experience, education, etc.)
for the position.

You should schedule a formal consultation with a lawyer. For the initial consultation most attorneys either charge a nominal, or no fee.
Sexual harassment cases have an extremely short statute of limitations. Before filing a lawsuit, a complaint will need to filed with the E.E.O.C.. A complaint should also be filed with Florida's Commission on Human Relations.

I believe that you could have an "sexual harrassment" and "constructive discharge" employment discrimination case.I would need additional information in order to give you a more complete consultation. For example,When did the sexual harrassment occur and when were you passed over for the promotion and who is your employer and how many employees does your employer employ and do you have a written employment contract and what is the sex and the qualifications of the individual who received the promotion in relation to your qualifications and what documentation is there regarding the other complaints by other individuals and were any of these complaints against the supervisor who harrassed you ? For a more thorough consultation, you may e-mail my law offices for an appointment for a free consultation at [email protected]. My offices are in Fort Pierce and if necessary we could meet by telephone. My staff will e-mail to you a toll free number to call me on. This is the type of case in which I represent clients on a contingency fee basis. Brad Culverhouse
