Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Florida

Office Conduct

3 men in my office posted calendars with a picute of female models in tight jeans and shirts. I expressed that I was offended and felt it to be inappropriate in the office. I asked that it be taken seriously, but it wasn't. In fact, I was treated like a silly girl for saying so. Could their refusal to remove the calendar & address the issue be construed as sexual harassment?

Re: Office Conduct

Whether or not behavior such as this constitutes sexual harassment depends on many factors, including how severe and pervasive it is. AS surprising as it may seem, this alone would probably not be enough. However, based on what you have said, what you should be mostly concerned with at tis point is the possibility of retaliation given the reaction you have had to deal with. I suggest you consult with an attorney regarding this in order to know your rights in the event of retaliation and how to prepare should the situation escalate and you need to take legal action.
