Legal Question in Social Security Law in Florida

I have applied for dissability; SSA; SSI; what happens to the Life Insurance I h

I have had this policy with this particular reputable Life Insurance Company, established in Florida, since 1994. It is whole life, death, cash value and policy riders of dissability, waiver of premium after 6 months. I was saving for my retirement. I have become dissabled and can't work anymore going on two years. I applied for dissability, SSA,SSI,receiving food stamps already. No bank accounts, only some shares with this Life insurance company (recently).

What do I do with this policy? They told me to ask an attorney? Rules differ from every state. Thanks.

You do need an attorney to look over your policy and help you with that and social security disability. If you have waiver of premium you should ask the company for their claim form. Meanwhile you should have enough cash value in the policy to prevent a lapse if you have not borrowed against it. Lousy way to save money for retirement. Call if you need more 305-445-5475.
