Legal Question in Social Security Law in Florida
I am starting a home-based business as a Medical Claims Processor, where I would be typing insurance forms for Doctors and Dentists. I have obtained an EIN number, but Customer Support told me that because I live in Hialeah, FL, the Doctors would also need my Social Security Number. I told her that that was the reason that I got the EIN numer, was so that I wouldn't have to give out my Social Security Number. She insisted that they need it, so I told her that I would have to think about it. I do not feel comfortable giving my SSN out. Could you please tell me if I must give it out or not.
Thank you very much!
