Hi, If a man owes the IRS an old debt, then gets newly married, does the bride become
responsible for that IRS old debt and lose her assets due to getting married? Thanks,
Norm...Daytona Beach, Fl.

No, but care should be taken not to co-mingle assets in such a way that the IRS can reach the wife's assets. For example, combining funds in a joint account. You may also want to consider filing separate returns, etc.
