Legal Question in Tax Law in Florida

Tax Lien

The IRS Sent me a letter to my home address regarding a debt by a person with My Same Name who owed the IRS 15k. The State or County put a Lien on My Property based on this.

The IRS sent me a Certificate of Non-Attachment clearing me of all ''Charges''. I provided a copy of the Certificate to the Local Taxing ''Authorities'' and Clerk of the Court.

However, they had already Released the info to the Public and the Credit Bereaus have totally destroyed by Credit.

I've had Credit Cards cancelled and others have ridiculously Increased my Interest Rates.

I've tried over and over to get a hold of the 3 Major Credit Bereaus, to no Avail. It is impossible to actually get any of them on phone.

I'm a Federal Employee with Clearance and this is even affecting my Job.

WHAT CAN I DO?

Re: Tax Lien

Have you written to the credit bureau and provided them the explanation and a copy of the release of lien? You should also ask them to correct their records. If they don't, they may be liable to you. They should also have websites where they can be contacted by email.

You might also request a letter from the IRS. I doubt they will give you one, but if you dealt with a specific indidvual, they might. Try calling the IRS Taxpayer's assistance office. This website does not allow me to list phone numbers, so check your local directory.

I have not addressed legal remedies as I perceive you just want to clear things up.If you want to pursue legal remedies after you have tried these things, please contact me.
