Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I am a 27yr old florida resident and i have never had a drivers license. I have, however, managed to have it suspended several times. My last offense was app.9 years ago. My license is currently suspended simply due to the fact that i owe the dmv money. Am I eligible to get a hardship license even though i am currently unemployed?

Two probable scenarios of many. First is that you pay off all your tickets and you then become eligible to get your full license back. Second, you pay off all your tickets and due to paying them off you get habitualized and your license gets suspended for anything from 30 days to 5 years. If it is for 5 years, then you can get a hardship after one year of no driving. The fact that you are unemployed does not mean you can't get a hardship so long as you tell them that you are going to look for a job and you need it for church, school, etc. You'll note though that, regardless of the outcome, you have to pay off fines and reinstatement fees. Good luck.
