Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
My car was hit in a parking lot in September 2010 when i was at work by a woman who left her contact info. The case was never solved since by my insurance. What shell I do next?
The woman gave her info to a valet guy who saw the accident and left. He gave it to me and left his contact info as well. I called the woman later but she refused to give me her insurance info; instead, she offered me some cheap service to fix my car. Unfortunately I filed a late police report next day. I contacted my insurance, gave all the info I had, pade for the damage which was within my deductable rate and that was it. I called my insurance several times but they said they were still working on it. It's been almost a year. I certainly can take her to a court or call her insurance company if I will be able to get it from my insurance. This is the first time I am in this situation. Is there any other way to solve this problem? Thank you

Sounds like you've done everything you need to do. I'm assuming you didn't pay anything above your deductible or you've been reimbursed for that amount by your insurance company. If so, then you can continue to let them try and recover what they can or you can go to the expense of filing a small claim for your deductible.
