My car was towed in Florida, I feel that there were no grounds to tow my car....What can I do?

Last week my car was towed. I was not pulled over but flagged a cop down to handle a domestic dispute. After that situation was neutralized, the officer ran my tag and told me i had a problem. I just bought the car the week before. The person i bought it from let me keep the tag and told me i could transfer the tag to myself. I also had the title, and i also purchased car insurance. The officer ran the tag and told me it didn't come up as me, and i explained why. Then he asked me for my registration and i told him i had not purchased it yet, but i did have the title. He then had my car towed. My liscense was not suspended. What can i do? How can i fight this?
