Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Confused about next step. My husband visited his father last night at his Condo. Cars are not required to have decals but they do have assigned spaces. My husband parked in a space that had no numbering (but not in a guest space either). Apparently, the guests spots are in the back of the lot. The car was towed and the reason was "Office Request". If there are no signs about towing for violators, do I have an option to fight this?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Florida has very specific laws regarding towing of cars and posting of notices. Contact a local attorney immediately, before you pick up the car if possible. There are some very short time deadlines in which to act to preserve your rights. Damages for violating the posting requirements or other parts of the law can include actual damages as well as attorney's fees.
