Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I have to go to court because I was pulled over (in Florida) for driving with a liscense expired more that 6 months (322.03 [05]). I have a Canadian drivers liscense and am unlikely going to be able to renew my liscense before I have to appear in court. Will this result in any jail time? The officer told me that this type of charge could result in up to two years of Jail time. This is my first criminal offense of any sort, nor do I have any misdemenors outside of the rare parking ticket or one or two speeding tickets I have had in the last 6 years.

I think you probably heard two MONTHS, not two years. This is a misdemeanor and could affect your immigration status so you need to talk to an attorney right away.
