Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
If a driver gets pulled over for no seat belt. They have no other traffic violation, but they are on probation for felony assault,. Does that give the police officer the right to search their vehicle? Is this normal? No drinking. Just driving home from work?

You're in a bit of gray area. When on probation, officers have the right to search you without the normal probable cause. There may be limits to that, but if contraband was found, for example, then you should get an attorney to challenge that.
