Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

My granddaughter was backing out of her friends driveway slowly because a tree obstructed her view. The speed limit on the street is 25mph. A car came down the street, did not honk the horn tried to avoid her and hit her car and turned it sideways. My granddaughter got a citation for improper backing. The other car hit her hard. The street address where it happen is improper on the citation so is the other persons address. What do you think? Thank You

The car in the street had the right of way EVEN IF they were speeding. So the citation may be properly given. HOWEVER, that does not mean it shouldn't be fought. Crash cases often involve witnesses who can be cross examined and raise reasonable doubt with the judge. I suggest you hire an attorney, or if you can't afford an attorney, elect the school.
