Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Hello, my husband went down to the DMV yesterday to obtain his license. He had previous tickets, but paid them off before making an appointment with DMV. Everything went well, except at the end they would not give him his license after all the "BIG FEES" he had paid. They said to get in contact with North Carolina because there were supposedly 2 tickets that needed to be paid. Well he callled them and they said he would have to fly up there and handle things and also pay a reinstatement fee. He has never had a license any where, except FL. But, 4-5 years ago he was working up there (NC) driving a truck and got into an accident, no one else was involved. They took him to the hospital and was released about a week later (due to head injuries). We are very confused about this whole thing. We have been riding bikes for two years now and were very excited about getting his license and a new truck. Can you please guide us as to what to do?
