Is it illegal to drive a car registered to someone who is deceased?

There are too many variables, such as past permission, the relationship, other's relationship to the deceased. You need to talk to a probate lawyer to check the status of the vehicle and if the deceased needs to have that probated. Of course, if you're stopped in the meantime by the police, you will have to answer a lot of unknown questions.
