Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Hi. I was involved in an accident and I was not at fault. The person who was at fault has a case on her against the state of Florida. I was subpoenaed as a witness via first-class mail with nothing written in the 'service of subpoena' section. I will be out of country on the date mentioned in the subpoena and it will cause me around $1000 to cancel the trip. Please let me know how to proceed and get out of this.

You can usually call the clerk of the court and ask them to excuse you due to your situation. They will probably continue it to another day. Also, if there is an attorney involved you could ask them, but understand that ONLY the court can technically excuse you.
