Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I was issued a ticket by an officer that said I was going 61 in a 40. The cop said it was caught by laser, and he did not write the laser number on the ticket. (I know I wasn't going that fast because I just turned on the road from starting from 0 mph to accerlerate to the flow of traffic in a 4 cyclinder vehicle.)
I am I obligated to pay the hefty fine of $281.00 and take a traffic course in order to waive the points that would go on my record? I thought the officer is suppose to list the Laser Tag number on the ticket.

You have the right to challenge the ticket. A magistrate may find that the ticket is deficient. I would suggest hiring a ticket attorney, which can be cheaper that paying the fine (P.S. I am not a ticket attorney but I even hire them when I get a ticket!)
