what are the laws on upgraded exhaust systems meaning how laud can i have it ? i have recieved a ticket for my muffler it has been upgraded

Pursuant to Fla. Stat. 316.293, your vehicle can be no louder than 79 decibels at any speed above 35 mph. Check and see what it is at an authorized mechanic. Fact is, that most aftermarket exhaust is illegal and can be no louder than the original exhaust.
