Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

is it legal to ride a go kart in a neighborhood? because I have been wanting to ride it somewhere but there is no where to go, besides my neighborhood

The way the state of the law is now and how courts have been interpreting the statute is that you can not ride your go-cart on any public street unless you have a driver's license. However, a cop could still stop you and require a registration but that is a gray area of the law.
