Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I lost my license in New York 10 years ago. I moved to Fl in 2007 and got a ticket for driving without a license and haven't answered to it because I was out of work. I am now working and get driven wherever I go. I'm trying to get everything straight so where do I begin? If I pay the ticket in fl, am I able to get a license in this state since its a dual license state or do I have to straighten out the one in NY as well before I can apply for a license in Fl. Thank you

Regardless of what state you reside, you will need to resolve the FL ticket. Whether it should be done first it's hard to say because you don't say why NY suspended your license. For example, if NY suspended your license permanently, then FL is not going to give you a license. You need an attorney for both states.
